Welcome back - I've been missing my daily fix of Mudcat.

Gee, I just posted "down" messages on folkinfo.org and rec.music folk.

Thanks, Max.

FAST? I have been waiting since 3am EST. Lucky it was fine weather. I had to go for a walk around Heybridge Basin and cream tea to console myself.

Max-

Nice to have the litter box changed every once in a while.

Cheerily,

Bet that was a nice walkabout, though, VT. (There's not as many above-the-line thread-links now, it seems.)

Thought it was a goner
But the 'Cat came back
'Cause it couldn't stay away.

Seems like an appropriate thread to refresh.

I concur, Joe.
Having said that,
the "Mudcat is really Brigadoon" thread
has made for a lot of amusement.

Worth adding a link to the Brigadoon thread in this thread's header .... ?

Imprudent, it seems to me,
to take the 'Cat for granted.

I can't quite grasp why you think we might have "lost the 'Cat" when Mudcat has temporarily disappeared, for reasons we've had explained to us, numerous times in recent months. The fact that I trust that absences are always temporary does not mean that I take this website for granted, thanks. I do not.

We shouldn't take anything for granted.

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone

You never know what might happen, so love the 'Cat while it's here and don't assume that it will never go away. It might be here for another 25 years or so, or it might not.

And don't take feldspar for granite. That wouldn't be gneiss.

Thank goodness! I was having fifteen fits . . . without it.
