Ilkeston Advertiser, 22nd April 1966: "The events surrounding the unsolved mystery of Thomas Severn, who almost 50 years ago disappeared while working at the coal face of the now derelict Mapperley Colliery, have been used as lyrics for a folk song... Nottingham folk singer Quintin Hood.. told the audience that it had taken him six months to collect material for the song." Anyone know Quintin Hood, or the song (sadly not quoted)? |
