So, last year, got back from our week at the beach and George Carlin had died. Can't seem to find anything this year... did anything happen in the past 10 days?
BTW, for those of you who know my family, it was a great week at the beach with the twins, we got along like a house on fire, I didn't even take my planned one night out as a grown-up, we were having so much fun watching giant bug monster movies. I love my kids. Amazing, for those of you who've followed their development!

Change the age at the top of the threads to 14 days and you can see what's been going on. Lots of stuff there.

Glad you had a good vacation.

Liechtenstein finally made their move and annexed Germany, northern Italy (north of the Po River), Andorra, and Switzerland. The last great conflict has begun.

ANTONY:

O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth,
That I am meek and gentle with these butchers!(275)
Thou art the ruins of the noblest man
That ever lived in the tide of times.
Woe to the hand that shed this costly blood!
Over thy wounds now do I prophesy
Which like dumb mouths do ope their ruby lips(280)
To beg the voice and utterance of my tongue,
A curse shall light upon the limbs of men;
Domestic fury and fierce civil strife
Shall cumber all the parts of Italy;
Blood and destruction shall be so in use,(285)
And dreadful objects so familiar,
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quarter'd with the hands of war;
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds,
And Caesar's spirit ranging for revenge,(290)
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry "Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war,
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.(295)

The Mudcat has been taken over by a horde of Zombie tourists condemned to eternally drive their Winnebagos back and forth over the same 100-mile stretch of extremely boring interstate highway.

Oh, yeah, Rapaire got tossed in Guantanamo because he said--well, no point saying what he said because then others will walk around saying it and all end up in the big G.

Nothing really. A couple of threads that have no reason for existing are still going strong. Sarah Palin says Pres. Obama is advocating euthanasia.   A couple 20-something cops in New Jersey arrested Bob Dylan for loitering - they never heard the name before, apparently. A hurricane hit Nova Scotia, but nobody noticed.   The Brits have finally noticed the NHS is being bashed. The Philadelphia Eagles rehired Michael Vick.

And they 'think' that asteroid may miss us, but NASA is short of money to track it....hide under your desk, like they told us about the A-bomb in the 50s.

Then there's the thermonuclear event that almost occurred . . . .

There was that series of earthquakes at Yellowstone that blew off that part of the Rockies, but the Mudcatters got it fixed in couple of days.

Several deaths occurred; more births, though. Some people had birthdays which they were wished well on, and Joe Offer kept on keeping on. Some spam appeared and got deleted by industrious Mudelves, to whom many thanks.

Sadly, on a serious note, there have been way too many Mudcat and other music world obituaries. Filter obits for the last two weeks and they'll come to the top.
