Aug. 29. I'm taking a friend off to seminary. Once I drop her off I will probably be totally non-compos on directionality. (Special points given to anybuddy who can meet me at VTS, let me follow them to beddybye, and visit briefly before I crash. I promise to wake up functional and get going promptly-- I have en evening event the 30th back home I MUST attend. Also workable: any relatively flat, level safe space where I can run an extension cord for a fan. ~Susan |

There's a fine state park an hour further South of Alexandria, but that's lot's of extra driving. PM for discussion of all alternatives... (I truly don't know the parks in Maryland) |

Can't think of the right name at the moment, but it's...wait, Cacotin? Could be Cacotin or something very like it. |

In any case, Pohick Bay Regional Park in Virginia has camp sites about an hour or less south of Alex'ia, only a few miles off I-95. |

If she is takin' Rt 15 then that would put her well north of Harrisburg, Pa. which is about a 4 hour drive from Alexandria... Sorry, but once ya' get north of Harrisburg, I'm lost-ercated... Okay to Harrisburg 'cause I used to stay there when I went to car shows in Carlisle... B~ |

Heading south on 15, I'd recommend Bear Creek Lake State Park, a nice little park in the Cumberland Forest about mid-way between Richmond and Charlottesville. |
