I presume Pete Burnham has been told about this event. His website does a great job for the area.

The musician is a great venue, but has specialised more in blues/americana and it's good to see it launching into a folk schedule.

Pete does indeed, and John and Barry and Jim are in, others not yet.

The Musician is indeed a fine venue but you're right Acorn4, it's known primarily for other genres. It's had some folk gigs but not consistently and certainly not most of the artists I'll be putting on so hopefully people will get into the habit of both coming out and wanting to play there.

Update: I was wrong, all this years gigs are in Pete's diary.

I'd go to the December event just to see Gren Bartley to be honest, he's rather fab!

Any chance I could put myself forwad for a support in 2010?

Ooh I like a bit of shameless self-promotion muppitz :-)

I'll put you on my list (yes, I do have one, as others have already asked) to consider but I'm not booking supports for 2010 for a while yet and at least two of my performers are bringing their own so the opportunities may be limited.

Hope to see you in December, perhaps before.

A quick bump for people who may not have seen this thread and to remind those that have that the next of these outings is on Tuesday 13 October with Jim Moray and Lucy Ward.

For Musician regulars, remember that music will start at 8.30pm.
