BS: Prepay internet access for Europe

There are many areas in Europe where wifi is not free. In the Alicante area in Spain for instance it is €12 for 24 hours. However, for English viewers BT broadband option 3 provides a 500 minute ticket for £27.50 which seems more reasonable. It's also free of "throttling" here as far as I can tell with bit torrent download speeds of up to 350 KB/sec all day.

So 8 hours 20 minutes for £27.50 seems more expensive than €12 which is about £10 for 24 hours.

The difference is that the €12 lasts 24 hrs from the time you first log on whereas the £27.50 allows you to log in and log off any number of times until the 500 minutes are used up. Of course if there is a BT Openzone near enough (unlikely) it's free for BT option 3 folks. The only time we have found one is in the British Airways lounge at Gatwick.
