I could have sworn that there was a Happy Birthday, Rita thread a few months ago- time goes by so fast these days that I lose track. Pretty soon important days are going to bump together from opposite directions. In any case- even doubly so - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RITA! |

Can't we just keep calling you Dan, rather than Rita? This all gets soooo confusing! Many happy returns my friend. Live long, die happy. |

17 Sep 09 - 06:03 PM (#2725645) Subject: RE: BS: Yup its Rita's birthday From: Severn People have got to give more than just a first name on the thread title, like maybe a Mudcat handle, if the first name is a common one. Of course, if your name's something like Severn, you'll probably not be confused with any other Catter, but that's a matter for December. And everyone seemingly got the right Mrs. Duck. It's nice to know who you're giving out greetings to, so you don't either make a fool of yourself or else bring out the fool in yourself that God, in His, Her or Their infinite wisdumb created. |

The ol' gal is a mere 90 but still cna write you a parkin' ticket if ya like... I mean, a mean motor scoote4r of a parkin' ticket... But she ain't writin' me none 'cause I sent her a big ol' birthday cake with 90 lit candles all the way from Pine Grove holler to Liverpool... But jus' in case it diodn't make it, Happy Birthday, Rita and you don't look a day over 60 to me... Yers, Bobert |

18 Sep 09 - 07:43 AM (#2725919) Subject: RE: BS: Yup its Rita's birthday From: Bobert Woa, Oldster... I didn't really start this thing... Ahhhhhh, I just got confuzerated on Bill's Rita's B-Day... But fir good reason... Yeah, see, I know fir a fact that Sept. 5th is another of my favorite Catter's B-days... Problem is that Rita is one one of them if not my favoritist... So naturally I thought it was Rita... No, not the metermaid 'cause I hardly know her... Okay, I still have one unpaid parkin' ticket somewhere that she wrote me but that's another story... So it just had to be Rita's because I knew she shared a B-day with either me of the P-Vine... Right???... Well, just say "yes"... So I had a 50/50 chance on it being Rita's, Bill's Rita mind you, B-day but it wasn't... Hey I didn't make up that 50/50 thing... The B-day gods did... Start a thread about them messin' me up, will ya??? However, just to clarify things a little... The P-Vine's B-day is Novemeber 18th and so is Rita's, Bill's Rita that is... As fir the Beatle's Rita??? I don't know... I hope it was Sept. 5th seein' as I sent her the cake... But I donno... That oughtta clear up this thing so now we can get back to talkin' about the important stuff like, "Yer Favoite Thump Pick" 'er "What is Folk Music"... You know, the kinda stuff that really gets the blood a'pumpin' in the a.m.... B~ |
