Dan, I'm real sorry that I overlooked your birthday. I didn't realise it was the same day as Bruce's...

Soooooooo

Hope you had a very Happy Birthday on the 17th September, and thank you for all your kind words to everyone and your lovely songs.

We'll all remember, next year.
Love and hugs,
Lizzie :0)x

LOL,
I stopped having them Lizzie ... my waist line can't handle all the cake anymore ...

Thank you ... It was Rita's birthday also ... LOL

Bobert started that tradition ... My kids sent me a shipment of fresh sea food so I did have a great dinner that night ... wow ... King Crab, lobster and scallops ... it was heaven for sure.

Now Older (and Duder) than ever!

.....So, with apologies to Stepher Foster:

Now I'll sing a Birthday song,
Dude-er, Dude-er
For Dan, 'cause Rita would be wrong,
Old-dude-er Day.

I'm late, 'cause I wasn't cued,
Dude-er, Dude-er
Now my greeting's over-dued
For Old-Dude-er Day!

Gwine for fun all night
Gwine for fun all day
Don't get selfish
With those shellfish
Somebody sent from the bay.....

Now Fost-er than ever, too!
(If Stephen Foster was alive today, he'd be screaming and clawing like mad at the top of his coffin!).......

A Stephen Foster song? Naw. Old Dude deserves a cheerleader cheer.

There's no old dude
like our old dude
'Cause our old dude is Great!

[I can't hear you]

There's no old dude
like our old dude
'Cause our old dude is GREAT!

[A little Louder]

There's no OLD DUDE
like our OLD DUDE
'Cause our OLD DUDE is GREAT!!

[A LOT LOUDER]

THERE'S NO OLD DUDE
LIKE OUR OLD DUDE
'CAUSE OUR OLD DUDE IS GREAT!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLD DUDE!!!

Though I have to say that I loved Seven's Stephen Forster song.

Stephen Foster's home is right down the road from me, and I'm sure he'd looove that song.

(If not, he betta keep his song composin a** right where it belongs. No offense to Stephen F.'s a** or any other part of his body.)

;o)

Happy Birthday again, Old Dude.

P.S. That sounds kinda selfish, so...may you get all that you desire and need in the coming year! And, thanks for being here!

Azizi,

Among a certain group of my friends, the cheer that would've gone up was:

Olddude once,
Olddude twice,
Holy Moses!,
Jesus Christ!
Zim, zam,
God Damn!
Ya-a-a-a-ay, OLDDUDE!

....the folkloric origins of which, I never knew, as it was well in place when I hooked up with these folks.

Alas, it would be more like "Decomposing a**" for poor Stephen Fester as he lies Fostering in his current state. (May they say Masses in de cold, cold ground for him every Sunday)......

Do we get an accompanying photo of Azizi in her cheerleading outfit, one that would put the ladies on the sidelines at the Pittsburgh Steelers games to shame?

Seeing as how Dan lives in Detroit Lions territory, I fear, what with the second longest losing streak in NFL history, that the cheerleaders up there in Detroit may have given up and gone home, even though the Redskins team that they play this week score so few points that they can keep ANYBODY in the game......

Anyway, CHEERS!

Here's a clean version of that cheer Severn posted earlier:

Olddude once,
Olddude twice,
Old dude
Old dude's
Mighty nice!
Bim Bam,
Alla Kazam!
Ya-a-a-a-ay, OLDDUDE!

BTW, I suppose everyone knows that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the only NFL team which doesn't have official cheerleaders. But we definitely know how to get our cheer on.

Here's a photo of me livin the good life.

Azizi,

What happens when you wind one of those up?

That is, indeed, the stuff of folklore, and a dolly Salvador could be proud of!......

Stephen Baldwin Foster died with 38 cents in his pocket... I'm sure Old Dude is doing better than that...

Happy early Birthday for next year..... big hug... R.

So, if Bankley correctly pre-guessed the contents closest at over 38 cents, does his pick win the Pocket Pool?

Or was our Banks merely trying to draw interest?

You know of course that Joe Offer hates these threads. He claims they're all the same and hence there are too many of them so I led a drive awhile back to assure that each birthday thread is a bit different. This generally involved my making suggestions to the birthdayee such as "Kiss My Ass." Happily this thread shows that 'Catters have learned and post lots of different things!

So now I get the chance to insult Joe instead! Dan, I don't know if you're aware that Joe is a failed priest and also a past federal investigator. Combined with his midwest upbringing, you can readily see why Joe is such a tight ass......a really tight ass! Seriously Man, the guy hasn't shit a turd bigger than a garbanzo in years and even they are twice the size of his balls. I kid you not.......A former love interest of Joe's described his equipment as resembling a melting Fudgcicle flanked bt two Tic-Tacs........

But as to the matter at hand (and you need to get it out of your hand)................

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
