Man they had some artwork on their guitars didn't they. I remember as a kid seeing cowboy hats and music notes and I think Roy Rodgers had a horse on one of his. Do you remember any? They were inlaid, or painted or overlaid ... I guess it was the way at that time and place. |

Elvis had one on his D-18. Seems to me that such a device would muffle the sound a bit. Anybody know anything about this fashion? (It seems to have gone out of style, which is probaby a good thing.) |

Seems to me in like 2001, this guitar was for sale (which is how one or another of the G.A.S. sufferers noticed it). Spaw |

02 Oct 09 - 07:39 PM (#2737005) Subject: RE: Best decorated Country Music Guitars From: lefthanded guitar An artist at my local art school has painted her guitar a mesmerizing, surrealistic blue with artistic decorations and curly cues. I'm half tempted to have her redo my 'cheapo' guitar. Wish I had a pic to show you. But the best 'decorated' guitar to my eyes is the one Willie Nelson plays-the one with a hole in the front. Nothing says "I live to play" more than that one. |
