Paul Morley seemed to be agreeing with Johnny Marr when he criticized the "finger in the ear brigade", but at the same time championed Martin Carthy. But both Morley's and Marr's admission that they were both big fans of Marc Bolan's "mystical" approach to folk didn't impress me. |
