I first heard of this wonderful man from Downes and Beer's version of "Across The Hills". Maybe he does not sing like Martin Carthy, but he comes up with songs like Harry Has Gone Fishing.

His Digger's song is a wonderful song.
Which tells the story of historical significance.
"In 1649, to St. George's Hill...."

also known as "The World Turned Upside Down"

Shame its so far away ! Leon R is one of the main reasons I started playing guitar , as his songs neeeded FAR more vocal ability than I had at the time to do them justice unaccompanied .

How did Rosselson- aged 30 at most- know that "Do You Remember" would express almost exactly my feelings 40 years later?

I've learned a fair number of his songs: Don't Get Married Girls, News From Nowhere, Made to Measure, Still is the Memory (not sure if that's the name) the Diggers, and always have meant to learn "We Sell Everything" But since I live just two hours south of Montreal the UK is just too much of a commute. Sing a few choruses for me please.
