Baring-Gould FF 2009

I made the trip down from Norfolk to Sidmouth this year and, if I'm honest, I was disappointed. Save a few gems such as Simon Care's concert, all in all I found it a bit disorganised and not all that welcoming.

Is it going to be worth the trip back down to Devon for the Baring-Gould Festival in Okehampton?

It looks like there are some interesting local (and national) artists on, and I have had a great time there in the past, but I would like to be reassured that it's still got the small team of dedicated organisers that I met two years ago, and that they still want me to have a nice time!

Any thoughts?

Mary
Just to re-assure you that the festival is, as always, run by the the same team from the Wren Trust. The festival is an excellent mix of concerts, workshops, singarounds and social events all of which are very friendly and inclusive. Its one of the most enjoyable smaller festivals on the calendar. Have a good time.

Well worth the trip.I have been three times and all three have been delightful. It is not high powered but small and intimate just as our music should be ,you could say it is almost domestic.
Great atmosphere, great people, lovely venues.
I know that it may sound a bit trite, but, it could change your life.

OldNickKilby.....not trite, it's a fact Wren and the Baring Gould Festival have changed lives...there are some big names out there who can testify to that! It was a more than a bit special this year. Bill
