Two or three months ago I happened to come into contact, through YouTube videos with a singer called Norlei Le Fay ("sussexangel" on YouTube). We discovered that we were both living in Sussex and talked about getting together to have a bit of a jam and perhaps a recording or two. She sent me a CD she'd made and I started to listen to some of the songs. Time passed and, what with one thing and another - principally busy family matters and getting a different computer and having to reinstate my email address book - I re-checked YouTube to get in contact with her yesterday. Here's the video that brought us into contact: Feeling Good. And here's the shock I got when I went to her channel yesterday: RIP Norlei had told me that she was battling cancer, but was winning the fight. Not so. Luckily, I have her CD. Unluckily, we never had that session. Moral? Carpe diem - seize the day and the opportunity while you can. RIP "sussexangel". |
