Just found out tonight that a VERY good friend passed away and had a Memorial Service of Thanksgiving last Friday!
Ray Taylor was Heavily involved in Uxbridge Folk Club when I got involved in the late sixties !
We performed together in a Ceilidh Band (The A 40 Improvement Scheme)
in the Mid Seventies , with Ray singing and playing Spoons . (His Spoons Duets with Geoff Lakeman were Amazing )
Ray relocated to Brighton and then to Oxford and was very much in the forefront of promotion of Folk Camps as well as becoming a Noted caller for Folk Dances !
He died of Leukemia in March , and the Memorial Service was on Friday the 16th October !
I KNOW that he will be missed by a Hell of a lot of people , so though it only right that something should be on here !

Did he play spoons in the 'North Circular Accidental Band'?
