We just got back from seeing Leonard Cohen and what can I say. Awesome, memorable, sublime, words are inadequate. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen three solid hours of greatness. He tours with a six piece band and three backup singers and they are all superb musicians. I especially liked the mandolin, saxophone and the Hammond B3 organ. And Leonard himself was brilliant. His voice is every bit as rich and expressive as ever. He's a singer, musician, songwriter of extrordinairy prowess, but before all else Mr. Cohen is a poet and his spoken word recitations of "A Thosuand Kisses Deep" and "If It Be Your Will" transported me. He was so energetic, captivating, some times funny, always engaging. And so very, very gracious, doffing his hat after each song like a real proper gent, allowing his associates space and opportunity to shine in their own light, and when he thanked us for making it a magical evening for them, you felt like it was from the heart. Even if he says it every night I'll bet he means it every night. So, if he's coming anywhere near you do yourself a favor. Go!

He's been, just a couple of months ago Sue and was every bit as wonderful as Neil reports. I couldn't get over how fit he was, effortlessly dropping to his knees and bouncing back on his feet again, it was all jaw droppingly fabulous.

I saw him in Germany back in 1974 or 75 - can't remember which. The concert was brilliant. I'd love to see him again. He's one of my favorites.

Tickets to concerts were too pricey for me but I watched the DVD of I'm Your Man half a dozen times. IT was totally terrific.
