Seeking thread: Summer Carmen on YouTube?

When the series of threads on Susan Boyle brewed this past spring, there arose another thread I can no longer find, linking to YouTube videos of other wonderful female singers -- and I thought I had stored that thread, but now I can't find it, when I want to send one of those links to my Mom for her birthday.

It's of a lovely dark-haired woman singing Carmen's "Love is a Rebellious Bird" aria in an outdoor amphitheater while distributing flowers to carefully-chosen men in the audience. Well sung, and a charming presentation (ah, her casual saunter in a fluttering summer dress!) and Mom loves opera.

Can anyone here tell me who the singer was, and point me back at the performance?

Thanks!

LynnT

Thanks!

Hmmm. I looked, and couldn't find it. I wish people would post descriptions of the videos, instead of just a link saying "click here, this is cool," or the like.
Can you remember who posted to the thread? If you posted to the thread. the list of messages you posted would show up if you clicked your name on any message of yours.
I don't see anything on the list that looks like a likely prospect, though.

Thanks for hunting, Joe. The thread was a listing of female vocalists -- put up by a variety of Mudcatters as better than/more interesting than Miss Susan. I seem to recall that the same singer was shown onstage in a red velvet dress, in an operetta-type setting, singing something very silly.

I tried searching on triggers like "susan", "Boyle" "female singers", etc. before bothering you...

Found it -- it's Liz Ryan, the Eclectic Mezzo, who showed up in the Joyce the Librarian thread.
