Marlow Bottom Acoustic--New Venue ?

It seems very likely that "The Pegasus", in Marlow Bottom,is now about to become, like Monty Python's Norwegian Blue,an "Ex-Pub" and will be "No more". Following this sudden attack of Blue Parrot Syndrome,a successful approach has been made to the "Dog and Badger" in Medmenham, about half way between Henley and Marlow, and an inaugural "Session" will take place there on Wednesday 25th November. There are good parking facilities , good in-house food,Real Ales, good wines, real fires,a "dog friendly" bar,and musically-inclined staff,so PLEASE come along if you can,and make it a night to remember for us AND the pub's owners ( we are hoping to really impress them !) --let us know if you think you might be able to make it ,and get "warmed up" for Bedworth !

I hope you don't get too many who are allergic to dogs and cats. Otherwise you will have a sniffingly good time. Good luck anyway.

OK ,Terry---hope to see you there ! The Bag and Dodger was my dear old Dad's favourite pub for years---he would have lived in it if he could. When he first moved down to Strike Command from Pitreavie, back in the '80s,he was unaccompanied,so spent much of his time in the D & B ; then he got an MQ at what was left of RAF Medmenham just up the road----a big mistake as far as my step-mum,brother,and sister were concerned !

Thanks to you too,Meneer Villan ! Wish you could be there.--actually, our chief organiser ,administrator, and sound-man at MBAC,is allergic to honden en hondjes, and fervently hopes that none will appear on the night !

Having greatly enjoyed the Marlow Bottom sing when I was over there and even got "Friends Of" for a while before they disappeared, Here's one Yank who wishes he could be there to hear the new venue bring out the best in the regulars and visitors. Good luck to all! I'll try to make it back over someday. The Bottom ranked near the top.
