Is this to raise money for next years festival or the one just gone?

I love Something nasty so may be there.

I can't help thinking though that a return to the folk 'n' Good Music day with Friday sing nd Sunday survivor session would take a lot less fundraising, cost less to the punters and be twice as much fun as this years big name marathon.

"Something Nasty in the Woodshed" is an intriguing name for a band. Is the source for the name the book Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons, one of my favorite parodies from the 1920's?

Well, there's been a Woodshed session in the Wrotham Arms both at the Broadstairs festival and off-season for the last couple of years- the source being Duncan Mcfarlane's song about Harry Cox playing in his shed cos his wife didn't like the noise and thus preserving tunes which were otherwise only known by name- see the cat thread-
and we had to read Cold Comfort Farm to check out the reference! Which was a rewarding experience... not quite sure how the celts got to Howling, but then again...

This old folk/trad world would be sad if people like Derek & Mary didn't make the effort to put on festivals like Banbury year after year but it can't be right that they get a financial spannering for their trouble. So "come all ye faithfull" and prepare to have your pockets hoovered.

We in Something Nasty are prepared to raffle off Jacko (as he failed to meet his ebay reserve). So if you know anybody that wants a six foot ginger geordie come alone on Friday.

Mary says she'll bid a Festival T-shirt plus £1 for Jacko!!!!!
The fun is hotting up! Don't miss it and come in more than pairs! Come in multitudes!!!
