20 Nov 09 - 01:07 PM (#2769894) Subject: Folk Weekend nr Stockport From: Ian Hendrie On Friday 27th November, as part of a nation-wide tour 'Kerfuffle' will be performing at North Cheshire Cruising Club, High Lane, nr Stockport SK6 8AA. Tickets : £10. Proceeds go to the Manchester Children's Hospital. On Saturday 28th November at the same venue there is a full day event in aid of Beechwood Cancer Care Centre. From noon there is a Christmas Craft Fair with stalls selling high quality craft items (no entry charge). At 8.00 there is a Folk Concert compered by Anthony John Clarke which will feature The Hometowners (first class folk and fun from a popular north-west band), Grant Baynham (humorous songwriter and guitar wizard), Zoe Mulford (award-winning American songwriter) and Dave Clarke and Andy Leadbetter. Tickets for the concert cost £12.50 (including supper). The two events are being run by different people. If you are interested in either e-mail me and I will supply contact details. |
