This song just popped into my head and I couldn't remember all the words and can't find it here or anywhere else, anybody help ?

first verse

A soldier and a sailor were walking one day,
Said the soldier to the sailor now come let us pray,
And if we have one prayer we might as well have ten,
Let's have a bloody litany said the sailor amen

Thanks, Dave H

The first thing we'll pray for, we'll pray for some beer
That we may have plenty to keep us in cheer
And for each pint we now have, may we have ten
May we have a bloody brewery - said the sailor Amen.

The next thing we'll pray for, we'll pray for some baccy
That we may have plenty to keep us both happy
And for each pipe we now have, may we have ten
May we have a bloody shipload - said the sailor Amen.

The last thing we'll pray for, we'll pray for some wives
That we may have plenty to last out our lives
And for each wife we now have, may we have ten
May we have a bloody harem - said the sailor Amen.

I've never heard the verses about wives and baccy before, only booze, wenches, the King and the Queen.

I'm no singer, but I've always liked this song since hearing the late Hamish Imlach singing it.
I remember it as follows. The only words I'm not sure about are the places mentioned in the final verse, and the adjectives describing "beer" in the second verse.

The Soldier's Prayer

A soldier and a sailor were walking one day
Said the soldier to the sailor, "Come let us pray,
And if we have one prayer, we might as well have ten".
"Let's have a bloody litany", said the sailor , "Amen".

"Now what shall we pray for, let's pray for some beer,
Some glorious , beautiful, wonderful beer.
And if we have one pint, me might as well have ten".
"Let's have a bloody brewery", said the sailor, "Amen".

"Now what shall we pray for, let's pray for a wench.
Glory, O Glory, may she be French.
And if we have one wench, we might as well have ten".
"Let's have a bloody harem," said the sailor , "Amen"

"Now who shall we pray for let's pray for the Queen.
Glory, O Glory, long may she reign
And if she has one child, may she also have ten".
"May she have a bloody regiment", said the sailor, "Amen".

"Now who shall we pray for, let's pray for the Duke.
That wonderful handsome, great smiling plook
And if he loses one hair may he also lose ten".
"May the b*st*rd go baldy", said the sailor, "Amen".

"Now what shall we pray for, let's pray for our peace.
From Cape Town to Belfast, from Glasgow to Greece
And if we have one year, may we also have ten".
"May there never , ever be another war", said the sailor, "Amen"

You can find quite a lot about this under the title "The Soldier and the Sailor".
