I live in a rural area with a disabled son; life is impossible without a car. Ours was totaled by a lorry that reversed into it; a replacement is needed urgently. I bid for a car on Ebay last night but now the seller's being stroppy and won't deliver the vehicle until he gets his 100 quid cash deposit. My problem is thwer is no public transport on sundays here so I can not get him his cash. Our contract expires at 10pm tonight (sunday)

We live in Swallowfield, about 3 miles off Junction 11 of the M4, only about half an hour from London - he lives in London strethan (sp)- I hate to impose upon the generosity of strangers, but is there anyone out there who can take me to London tonight before 10pm?
I'll cover all costs and pay any reasonable fee.
Please help

I've just got an email from the guy - he thought i was a time waster, somehow scaming him, but he saw my appeals for help on social networks and realised i was genuine and he's gonna phone me tomorrow to arrange things. So, hopefuly, it'll all work out now.

Terry I don't have your phone number any more - lost in the chaos :-(
But many many thanks for being willing: you're a gentleman a scholar and a judge of fine whiskey :-)

Well I for one am really pleased that the other person has seen sense. I hope things work out fine for you.

Swallowfield, thats a very nice area. Thats where the Country Park is, isn't it? From my memory thats the one we used to visit a lot when our children were young. Thats also where Dawn French and Lenny Henry lived (don't know if they do now). Said hello to her one time when she came to the park at the same time as us. Blimey is she small (height wise).

Those memories make me realise how much I miss that area.

The Park's still there along with the Georgian house, of course, but it's changed hands about three times since I got here. Until recently it was luxury assited living retirement appartments, now it's just luxury 2-bed appartments. The grounds are private now and not open to the public.

Everyone around here is really nice, it's supprisingly classless, and it's a quite place to live; 0 crime can you belive it! It took me a while to accept it, seems impossible given that it's only a half hour from London. I consider myself blessed to have found a cheap rental house here, very blessed indeed.
