Options for TAB layouts, as well as normal 5-line staffs; grouped staves, etc. Poke around -- you can create your own type of layout from a variety of useful features, or select from an assortment of layouts (see the "Staff Paper Directory" link to that page). No logging in is required, but if you want to save your custom layout and return to it later, you can create an account and do so. I just tuned the extra string down to low D. YouTube clips here Two alternative tunings appear on these clips:- ADGCFAD AEADFsharpBB Or you can treat an eight-string guitar as a seven-course instrument like this guy. Any advance on eight? I used to play a Portuguese Mandolin (Thuringer Waldzither) with nine, but they were set up in five courses GCGDA, the single string was the low G. Ross |
