15 Dec 09 - 11:09 AM (#2788851) Subject: Small-bodied classical guitar From: NormanD I'm looking for a smaller-sized classical (nylon string) guitar, 3/4 or 7/8 sized. I've been round a few guitar shops which mostly have half-size models which might be OK for a young, small-handed beginner, but sound pretty awful. If anyone can recommend any model they know or UK retailers, that'd be great. Cost? Let's say low-end. Thanks Norman |

I don't know the model number, and it's from a few years back, so something like it may be hard to find, but it's pretty nice and not expensive (though, since I got it used, it may be hard to judge that). I paid $130 for it, I think. What you're looking for would be what's considered a "parlor guitar," though many of those on the market are steel-strung, not classical. I don't know the exact make and model to look for, but there are many, many guitars "out there" in the market, so keep looking, and try "the Google" for "nylon parlor guitar." Good luck. Bob |

I don't know much about it, but it uses nylon strings, has a full classic fingerboard, but it's the size of a parlor guitar. Made in Canada. Details here. Don Firth |
