Catspaw Fundraiser

15 Dec 09 - 02:23 PM (#2788974)
Subject: Catspaw Fundraiser
From: SINSULL

I am assuming this will find its way below the line when Joe sees what I am up to BUT it is a music thread.

GRAMMY Charities is auctioning off two seats to attend the Person Of The Year tribute to...

Neil Young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given that Neil has never recognized the good works done by the NYCFTTS, this is the perfect opportunity for Neil and Spaw to meet, greet and plan the future of the Center.
Details:

Note to Joe - blame Dan Shatz. If he hadn't gotten the idea for a CD that was good enough to be nominated for a Grammy, I would never have been surfing the net on valuable company time looking for Grammy info and this MUSICAL thread never could have happened.

I will start the fund by donating 8 cents US. Who else is in?

By the way, Neil is getting a little long in the tooth. Suggest a makeover, will you? Maybe by the same guy who did Susan Boyle.

I'll match that with 8 1/2 Canuck.

Yeah, if it's about NYCFTTS, it probably belongs "below the line"...

People visiting Mudcat would have NO Idea what we're talking about.

I'll see your 8.5 cents and raise you .75 cents, so it's now at 9 and a quarter cents.

Let's all meet at Amos' house, go to the gala, go back to Amos' house and stay. I hear the weather is nice.... until May.

Now that's a great idea. Boy, do I remember how much fun we had at the last big party at Amos'.

I'm pretty broke right, Sins, what with Christmas coming up and all, but I do have a small brown paperbag I'll donate in case 'Spaw gets airsick.

Someone donated them to GRAMMY Charities. It is an annual thing. Several "packages" are up for auction. It is a real thing. Opening bid is $1000 so we have a ways to go.

Kendall, HUSH!
Maybe Amos doesn't know. We are all planning on crashing at his house and watching the affair on TV. Only you, Jacqui, Dan and Spaw will actually go to LA.

Don't mention the war. I did but I think I got away with it.

I'm sure Spaw will know.

HEY! Back to the subject!
How do we get Spaw to a one on one meeting with Neil Young?
We less than 15 cents and you guys are off admiring your nether regions aws usual.

16 Dec 09 - 08:28 AM (#2789570)
Subject: RE: Catspaw Fundraiser
From: Little Hawk

Well, there's probably something scandalous that can be dug up about Neil Young. Then we can blackmail him into a one on one meeting with Spaw by threatening to reveal the dirt! ;-)

I sure as hell can't think of anything else that would do it...

I could talk to Chongo about this and see what he can find out.

Neil Young plays with electric trains. How about that?
