He did, however, present us with copious amounts of good wine, and hugs and greetings from afar from our new-found friends which we enjoyed tremendously. We always enjoy having the travelling gnome at the Cottage and this Christmas he brought his lap-top (our PC has fallen over for the last time) so that we could relive our USA trip by going through his photos from the Getaway. I was thinking of a trip to Tate Britain or Kew today but TfL (Transport for London)shut down large chunks of the Tube system at weekends for "upgrading"!!! which means a simple 40 minute journey can take 2 hours or more! From: Micca Mary, Yeah there were some disturbances not far away (within 2 miles), Liz is currently in the South of France on a singing trip, Paul and Phoebe are at a Festival well away from London, I am Cat feeding for them. On my way to feed the cats yesterday about 7 p.m. a bunch of about 30+ yobs( 16-18 yo) came down Liz's street on their way somewhere carrying sticks and bits of fence etc, shouting to each other, they were heading away from the shopping area, in very residential streets, I don't think the phrase "low profile " had any meaning to them, maybe they were lost? (in the geographical sense) it was a bit scary!!! Correction, it was a LOT Scary. |
