29 Dec 09 - 08:53 AM (#2798366) Subject: BS: Mudcat-RoundTheWorld-NewYear From: catspaw49 We haven't done anything that's just plain silly/stupid in a long while..........at least collectively. I think we're overdue! How about this? If you were here back at Y2K we did a New Year's thread thing that started in New Zealand and as the New Year came in "around the world" others came on and made a link to celebrations. Of course this year is just another year and not a "special" one so there are no killer celebrations but this could still be fun.........or at least mildly amusing............... Let's try it. I'll start a new thread just prior to New Zealand's New Year and we'll go from there. Post about your New Year either in your family, local community, or nation.........Something that gives us a bit of "local" flavor. Something like, "We all begin every New Year by shooting bottle rockets out of Grandma's ass,"........ or whatever. Let's also add an optional part-----"CALL A 'CATTER" Find a number and call another 'Catter, perhaps one you don't know well.........or one you do. Tell us about that too if you like. PM for an okay and a phone number but shoot for an actual voice conversation. If you are really uncomfortable with this, we will all understand and its okay. Send someone a PM instead. I think that made the Y2K year a lot of added fun because there was a lot of calling going on. Watch for the new thread. Spaw |

Maybe if it's still going then.... But I intend to sing the Peace Round as soon after midnight as I can and maybe if I sing it every hour, on the hour, I'll link up with some of you. Robyn in NZ |

Look it up on Google: Mary Lee Foote + "I Started a Joke" After which, of course, I will expect your reaction to it. |
