Canada was lucky to win the game against the U.S. New Years Eve. For all you hockey fans south of the border, this is a game you should try and watch(support your team), and if I was a betting man I'd go with............................just can't say it! My mouth won't let me, nor my fingers type it! |

I don't disagree that having the best of the best play is a dream come true to watch. Would one be willing to place the rest of their pro career on the line for a chance at a Gold Metal? To be honest, I'm not so sure! As far as I'm concerned, the last "Dream Team" was the 1980 U.S.A. team that shocked the world! 99 times out of 100 the Russians win, but as Herb Brooks said, "not tonight". A bunch of kids beating the best team on the planet, now that was a dream come true. From a Canadians point of view, maybe one of the best games I've ever watched seeing those "Commie Bastards" hangin their heads. I suspect tomorrow will probably resemble "old time hockey". Enjoy!!!!! |

In 1980 I don't think things were that much different. So, just taking a guess here, but I would think they were communists! |
