From: rcleland@isothermal.cc.nc.us There was a commercial some time ago (advertising what, I cannot recall) which used the first (?) line of some song which I have been singing all day, and which is making me nuts to discover what it is. The words of this line are: "I don't want to set the world on fire..." WHAT IS IT?? Any of you sharp people know? |

From: Vixen I don't know that one, but, since we're on the topic, WHO wrote/performed: "Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain..." It came up in a song circle this week, we all knew most of the words and the melody, but everyone drew a blank when we tried to identify who wrote/performed it... TIA!!! V |

I have no idea what it was originally under (thread creep is not new). I certainly provoked it. Doesn't seem to come up in my search engine (maybe one of those days). yours, Peter T. |

From: catspaw49 Everyone already seems to have all the answers supplied while I was meeting Cara...But let me ask you this...... I know I am the most depraved, irreverent, sick, and over-the-top, yahoo around here, but am I the only one who finds "A Snatch of Song" as a strong mental image. Seeing such would indeed make a lot of people crazy. Not me, as I once saw a porn movie where the female lead smoked a cigarette that way so I suppose singing isn't out of the question. Spaw |

Saw the same porno flick, I think (or else it's a popular theme...) And my (former) voice teacher once told me to sing from "down there" (HONEST!!), so maybe he's seem it, too! campfire |
