Guildford Wassailing 6th Jan - POSTPONED

As with many other events, thanks to the snow the Wassailing and Mummers play this evening have been postponed, due to difficulty of cast actually getting into Guildford. Some of the normal culprits will be walking the pubs this evening, but the play etc is off. It's possible that it may be reconvened for Old Twelfth Night (ie Sunday January 17th). If so, I'll repost.

Shame! On the other hand, if The Star in Quarry Street isn't given its three chalked crosses as per custom, may it have all the bad luck it deserves.

Well Gadaffi, I reckon that they should be alright - just about- since we will be going out on the old Twelfth Night... so provided the snow doesn't rule it out again, hopefully the three chalk crosses should be up there again. Maybe the Star won't notice that it's not Twelfth Night as usual?? :-)

Peasant (I'm assuming that from the spelling of Epicentre, and contents of the site you're actually in the US ? ) - many thanks, but we already have our own carols (some local, some from other parts of the UK like Sheffield) which are already up on the net available to peruse for any would be wassailers.

Fingers crossed that the weather conditions ease off before the 17th!
