Thinking of coming to folk day   we would camp at Chirk and come in on train.   How far is the station from the venue?   A small taxi ride would nt break the bank or a bus if poss.

On the website (link above) it links to a map

You will see a railway line, Hoole road and Westminster road marked.
As you come out of the station you need to go to the right onto Hoole Road and cross the railway (I think there are steps up),the easiest way is to follow the main road for half a mile then turn right into Westminster Road (if you are walking! it's One Way, no entry for cars). The centre is an old school with railings and a big tree in the playground on the left, among all the terraced houses.

Ah yes, we posted together.
Looking at Mr Happy's map here
you can see the steps up onto Hoole road, as Station road bends round.

Except that the link I thought I copied wasn't the view of the map that I got. You have to go North then east to see the station. South along Westminster Road gives a view of cars parked in the school playground (near Rowena court).
