They had a tribute to Charles Sawtelle at the Winterhawk bluegrass festival two weeks ago, and all the gang was there (except Charles). Peter Rowan has Charles' guitar now, given by him, and played it with the band in Charles' pickin style. It was very moving, but also done with humor and very upbeat. We have a couple of Hot Rize albums somewhere, but I'm too lazy at the moment (it's too late) to go look for it, transcribe, etc. Maybe tomorrow! Seems familiar, but I think it has a different title. |
