Strut in the community is a very reputable charity that is having difficulties at the moment making ends meet.

Faldingworth Live together with participants have decided to support them by having a charity concert where all proceeds will go to them.

Here is a link to their press release document.

Strut Letter

We are hoping as many people as possible will be able to attend and help this very good charity.

Details of the concert are in my next post below.

I think you left them in the care of the Sugly Isters, Mary and Betty, in the Marge Lanshion, in the Kadgic Mingdom, awaiting the arrival of the Prandsome Hince!

But that's another story..............   :-)

I found some good versions of Rindecella on Youtube, but I didn't think they were appropriate for this thread.

However I cam across a Freddy Starr version, which definately was not suitable. I came across another video of Freddy which I hadn't seen and thought was rather funny. Hope you find it funny.

Folkwaves want anybody that goes along on Saturday to get in touch with them, to explain why Better Late Than Naked are called Better Late Than Naked.
Please make sure you send in your comments and be sure to make them funny :-)

At Bingham Folk Club last week, BLTN were introduced as "BLT Naked". AKA "The Naked Lunch" I presume.
Don't frighten the children. It's strictly a musical act.

Well we have £300 on the door and with the raffle and profit on the bar after costs (drinks and licence) we should be in line for over £400 which would be absolutely brilliant.

What an excellent evening.
Whilst we havent finalised the money that we will give to Strut, we do know that we have achieved £480 plus whatever the profit is from behind the bar.

Better Late Than Naked and Jet Skiffle and Blues gave up their time for free to entertain and audiencs of about 70.

They did a brilliant job and I can't thank them enough for their efforts in supporting Strut. They should be proud of themselves.

My thanks also go to other people that gave of their free time. Namely Gwenda & Terry Cater (Sound) and Di & Tom who ran the Bar.

Thankyou to anybody else who helped in making tonight a great success, namely Dave & Barbara and Malc & Teresa.

They should all be proud of themselves.

Finally thank you to the audience becuase you played your part in a big big way and without your willingness to part with hard earned cash, we wouldn't have made much money.

Thank you, thank you, thank you as Tommy Cooper would say :-)

I will ensure that everybody knows how much we give to Strut.

Les Worrall
