13 Jan 10 - 06:34 PM (#2811321) Subject: RE: Shenandoah - piano From: Artful Codger Jarrett has done several projects recording classical works entirely "straight"--I think I have a recording of him playing Bach's "Goldberg Variations"--, so his remaining faithful to the melody shouldn't be surprising. Didn't Jacqueline Schwab record a piano version of "Shenandoah" for various Ken Burns documentaries? Her arrangements are always top-drawer stuff, wonderfully expressive.
