Softly Softly is a fortnightly night at Albert & Pearl cocktail bar on Upper Street in Islington, London. Featured sets from three acts, plus floorpsots and, apparently, a session in the next bar along (so bring your instruments). Not sure how that all works, but lookee here:

This Wednesday (20th) 'twill feature music from:

Elle Osborne (Barry Dransfield-inspired fiddle singing from Linconlnshire, I believe)
www.elleo.com

Josh Bray (kind of Nick Drake-ish singer-songwriter)

Matt Milton (blues - other people's and his own – oldtimey American tunes and the odd smidgeon of UK trad folk, on guitar and banjo)

Hamish is playing there in a couple of weeks time, I hear.

Interesting looking venue.

It looks rather more Raspberry Daiquiri than Old Thumper, as it were.
