It had a very simple minor tune, and the only lyrics I remember was from the chorus: Muddy river, your muddy water, took my baby's life. (Or words to that effect.) |

CHORUS: Moody River, more deadly, than the vainest knife. Moody River, your muddy water took my baby's life. 4. I looked into the muddy water, and what could I see? I saw a lonely, lonely face just looking back at me. 5. Tears in his eyes, and a prayer on his lips, And the glove of his lost love, at his fingertips. CHORUS |
24 May 11 - 10:54 AM (#3159738) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Muddy River? / Moody River From: GUEST,Daniel Gary Bruce singing the song that he wrote(Moody River) is a much better version than Pat Boone's version. I remember it well. I just can't find his version anywhere. Back then it was hard to get your song on the airways unless you were already known and Pat Boone was that well known singer who got the air play. |
