Lyr Req: good ole' days or good old days

Does anyone know of a song that talks about the Good Ole' Days, but is really referring to how blacks and women were treated in the 1950s? I am a librarian and one of my students requested it to use with a project on the Civil Rights Movement. THANKS!

I think you will find lots of songs like that, but mostly from long before the 1950's.

"Old Black Joe" is, of course, the first that comes to mind.

Then, of course, there is the race-neutral version, "Old Jack Blow".

Oscar Brand's "A Guy is a Guy" (which IS from the 1950's) manages to be sexist without being offensive.
