01 Feb 10 - 02:10 PM (#2827412) Subject: Tech: Audio:Vista/Windows 7 From: Acorn4 I've recorded 4 CDs on my PC using Windows XP but time has rather caught up with it and in spite of putting in more memory I think it's going to struggle to cope with the demands of Cubase. I've got a modern laptop which I will probably need to transfer recording functions to. So far I haven't put that many demands on the new machine just using it for WP and internet. I've heard a lot of bad things about Vista and its handling of audio and the question I'm posing is would it be worth me upgrading to Windows 7 before setting up the system. Anyone tried recording with either Vista or 7 -advice would be appreciated. |

You also need a minimum of 2GB RAM to run this facilty. JM |

I've used Audacity for editing recordings with both Vista and Windows 7, and it has worked very well. I haven't used Cubase, so I don't know if the current version of Cubase will accept recordings from an older edition. -Joe- |
