06 Feb 10 - 01:36 PM (#2831510) Subject: Tom Waits is the Devil From: michaelr ...in Terry Gilliam's new film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus". I saw it yesterday, and was once again struck by Gilliam's wonderful visual imagination and zany storytelling. Tom is delightfully creepy as the ages-old adversary of Christopher Plummer's Dr P. Also excellent are Heath Ledger (in his final role), and Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law who were brought in to play different aspects of Ledger's character after his untimely death. Waits has been busy in front of the camera lately - he's also in the new Hughes Brothers post-apocalypse film "The Book of Eli" starring Denzel Washington.
