Still less than the cost of a pint, so I don't see it as excessive. I know some clubs charge less (and others more), but every club cuts its cloth according to their environment and objectives. |

We are meeting 1st & 3rd Wednesdays in the month for the forseeable future. Bruce Michael Baillie did a great night for us, full of his usual humour, with a smattering of serious songs. So that you can find it more easily for the next session - on the 1st Wednesday in March (the club is always going to meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays in the month), the sign above the door to the street says the Albion Chambers. It is on Albion Street, on left as you walk from the corner (Barclays Bank is on the corner of Queen Street and Albion Street), on the opposite side of the road to the Oxfam Charity Shop. Just to repeat that said above, plenty of free parking in Morrison's car park. Walking from the carpark, you go through the tunnel and Albion Street is straight in front of you, cross over the street onto the left hand side and you are almost there. Very good 2 part harmony singing and some accompanied songs with guitar or dulcimer. Mainly trad material. New duo starting to make impressions, See Jim Lawton's review in Tykes News. Sue has an impressive pedigree as an unaccompanied singer with Bob Bray and Regal Slip amongst others. Paul is a bit more of a mongrel, he also peforms as one half of The Friendly Visit. Recent bookings have included Otley Folk Club and Skipton Folk Club. Come and find us, you will not be disappointed. |

We use the concert room which is a decent size but we are not too lost if the numbers aren't too high. (So far we have been very well attended). We also have the option of moving into the cozy lounge if bad weather keeps the numbers away.
