For some reason I like this story, but honestly I can't say why.

Reminds me a certain minister here in the states who climbed up in a tower and swore to stay there or die until he got money from his followers or god. Didn't matter. He did come down though.

Does it bother anybody else that God lets little crippled kids die every day, but turns the lights on just once for this family?

O..O
=o=

I've commented many times on one survivor from a disaster exclaiming "God was with me!".... I always wonder what the others did wrong.

Once again I point out that God* gave human beans FREE WILL. He doesn't "let" things happen-- He "lets" us DRIVE. The human race chooses where to go, macrocosmically.

We are all too happy to take credit for good things but leave blame for the bad things to God.

Of course I am not saying that little kids die of their own fault-- foplks who assume I am saying that do not know me at all. Kids DO get caught up in chains of adults' bad decisions, and pay the price. But it ain't God "letting" or "making" them die-- it's God letting people be PEOPLE. If you take as a hypothetical that He MADE the race, isn't it an elementary corollary that He'd let us BE how He MADE us?!?!?!?
Would someone big enoughto be God* think like this: "Oh I changed my mind! I made all this but I, the Supreme Being, f*cked up! I get a do-over, nyah nyah!"

What kind of idiot would believe THAT scenario, as a logical corollary of the first assumption posited?!?!? And then call people who DO believe the first one, the poor thinkers????

And Mudscatters-- people who have ONE thing in common and it ain't even music anymore-- no, tis is a place full of people here who get NUTS about the faintest hint of any possible (imaginary) censorship-- but fail to appreciate that God* is the ultimate NON-CENSOR.

I would think a buncha die-hard free thinkers like THAT would be the first to understand a simple concept like "free will."

* insert usual PC crap modifying the concept of "God" to mean whatever is small enough to fit into a human brain.
