12 Feb 10 - 01:35 PM (#2837326) Subject: Important News re Barnsley Folk Club From: GUEST,Sarah, Barnsley Cheryl, the Landlady at the Shaw Inn has decided to moved on, leaving on 12th February. At this stage, we do not know if Punch Taverns, the pubs owners intend to keep the pub open or not, so we are considering alternative venues. The next couple of weeks: Mon 15th Feb - The Young 'Uns - this concert night has now been moved to 'The Heart of Barnsley' (formerly Maceys) in Barnsley Town Centre. It's in Peel Square next to Greggs. Suggested contribution £4. Mon 22nd Feb onwards - keep checking here - we'll let you know as soon as we have made arrangements. Sarah |

19 Feb 10 - 07:55 AM (#2844049) Subject: RE: Important News re Barnsley Folk Club From: r.padgett OK the good news is that The Shaw has new permanent LandLord by the name of Danny and we will be returning to The Shaw this Monday Feb 22nd, usual upstairs room I do hope that a few can come and grace our club as we have infact been there 20years to my knowledge and at the Wheatsheaf before then We have in the meantime had a good look round at other rooms for other purposes too!!
