So. Brian Noble's scratch side have actually one a game, though it was only against the Reds. Will the Crusaders do something this season?

I dunno, I think an Abrams can finish 'em off. Of course, Leopards are damned good.

Leopards? The last Leopards I remember were the Vileneuve Leopards in the Challenge Cup.

Aren't you talking about tanks?

Yahoo gave tanks when I searched for Abrams and Leopards.

Poem 99 of 230: ONE RUGBY?

With sixth-tackle, knock-on and touch-line hand-over -
    No scrums, line-outs, rucks or mauls;
The rest (the best of both codes) would hardly alter -
    And no splits, due to two calls.

Well, you mentioned Crusaders and naturally I assumed that there was some new sport involving armored vehicles.

They did try to reinvent themselves, hence the XV in this year's name, but it's still the same game that started off as Northern Union.

Going back to Brian Noble, it looks like the team he built in Wigan might do something this season.

How about Wigan v Wakefield for the Grand Final?

The RFL's just sent me a fixture schedule, and the season's only 3 weeks old!

I'm kicking myself! I was thinking of getting down to Wrexham for Crusaders v Hull FC, and dozed off. Sounds like a good game, and Brian Noble's scratch XIII seems to be playing like a team already.

Hey, I've got a ticket for Alfie's debut!

I watched Alfie on Friday night, and was impressed. Of course he didn't become a League standout overnight, but in the main he acquitted himself well. I've no argument with Brian Noble's assessment, and hopefully the Crusaders are here to stay in North Wales. (I remember a League team called Fulham many, many years ago, who went through many changes of name and venue before turning into Harlequins - weren't they the London Crusaders for a time, just before becoming the Broncos?)

Why have "The Super League Show" on at Sunday lunchtime when over half the weekend's games are still to be played?
