Holme Valley Poems

Hi there all,

Does anyone know any poem which may include the words sounding like "Paddock, West Nelly and Ood'le (presumably Wooldale) Town End" please?

In addition, are there any poems specific to the Holme Valley?

Many thanks,

Jonibee

Try William Beaumont poems such as T'Ordance at Burton (Kirkburton)

Monologue John Bartley and John Cocking and there was a monologuist that lived at Slaithwaite (Colne Valley really ~ next area to) Ernest Dyson who did/do such dialect type poems

Most famous is "Nah Then Mrs Oldroyd"
