26 Feb 10 - 04:01 AM (#2850536) Subject: RE: New Music Session East Yorkshire From: gnomad Yes, Midchuck, Wetwang really exists, though I would call it a village rather than a town. It comes up if you search on Google maps. When I was little I was told that on a Sunday morning the local fire engine would be driven into the duck pond to be washed by its crew. I kept looking, but never saw it myself. To this day I don't know whether I was fooled by a rare leg-pull from a generally very 'straight' talker, or was just unlucky. I seem to remember that the old fire station had been turned into a house last time I passed through. |
26 Feb 10 - 09:18 AM (#2850748) Subject: RE: New Music Session East Yorkshire From: Les from Hull Maggie helped to clear that pond out with the conservation volunteers. Ducks of all ages should be grateful. Actually there is a second Tuesday session in Hull (in the Minerva), so a different Tuesday might be better if there are people in between who might like to go to both. |
27 Feb 10 - 06:07 AM (#2851435) Subject: RE: New Music Session East Yorkshire From: Tim Leaning saying music session could imply that anything /anyone is welcome. Is that the case? Any P.A? |
27 Feb 10 - 08:24 AM (#2851484) Subject: RE: New Music Session East Yorkshire From: Jellybeam Yes anyone is welcome, but there is no PA. |
27 Feb 10 - 09:26 AM (#2851523) Subject: RE: New Music Session East Yorkshire From: Geoff the Duck Hi Jellybeam! I had assumed it must be you involved. It's too far for us to drive, and twins have started doing Scouts and Guides on Tuesdays, so we are tied down with dropping and collecting. Have fun and report back here how it takes off. Quack! Geoff. |
