Bob Franke Concert (Maine)

We haven't had the opportunity to attend a Bob Franke concert in Portland, Maine, since the demise of the Portland Folk Club back in the 1990's. Franke will be the featured artist at One Longfellow Square on Saturday, March 20, 8 pm. One of our favorite local singer-songwriters Jud Caswell will be doing an opening set.

Much as we'd love to hear a concert of our old favorites (Thanksgivings Eve, For Real, Hard Love, Give Yourself to Love), we're really curious what new songs he's been singing.

Cheerily,

I am hoping to make this one. My schedule is so screwy lately, I never know what am doing until I am in the middle of it. This is a shanty sing night too, I think.

Sinsull-

There is indeed a shanty session at the Press Room. We're planning to leave the session early, around 7 pm and scuttle back to Portland.

Nice to see this thread, Charley. Bob is one of my favorites--performers & people, that is.
