We'll have a car and one week. Looking for places that might be open to a singer offering a tune when welcome, but it's not critical--mostly want to hear good music. Would also appreciate hearing about any favorite high points or "must-sees". Please respond before first week in April. Thanks! |

Don't know about Dublin, but in smaller places we located traditional music by asking at the front desk of our lodging. Sometimes they had to ask around, so allow time. Have a good trip. Oh yes, and drive defensively. |

Newgrange. Dublin also has one of the great museums of Islamic art. |

There is a lovely guesthouse in Dingle and the lady's husbands gives archeological tours..there is so much old history..like really old...ancient. I did not have magical musical experiences there..but I heard good music for sure..maybe too much flute...O'Flaherty's in Dingle is right around the corner from this B&B. mg |

You could stay in Dingle, and then explore all the Kerry peninsulas. Or even better, do the same with the Cork peninsulas (less crowded). And if like me, you love wild deserted bleak dramatic landscapes, you'll just head north to Connemara and stay there. :) |
