The Kathy Mattea recording is accompanied by guitar, bass, and violin, and it's very nice. The accompaniment on the Collins and Mattea recordings are what I'd call "understated," and thet may be why they work so well. Priscilla Herdman did it unaccompanied, also a wonderful recording. Sorry, but I'm not a guitarist, and can't transcribe chords for you. -Joe- |

I must have been thinking of the Priscilla Herdman recording. At one time it seemed to me that Herdman was on a mission to record everything Collins had ever sung (not that there's anything wrong with that). It's also on a CD by the Australian group, Quintessence - and that one is an unaccompanied trio. |
