BS: I've got a lovely bunch of roses

My Rog is not always the most demonstrative when it comes to romance. He goes to work and cooks our meals when it comes to ways of showing how much he loves me; major ways and I appreciate them. Every once in awhile, though, he surprises me. Two days before our 30th anniversary, which is today, he came home from work, having stopped at the store on his way. Bringing a thrill of remembrance of our *early* days, he handed me a wrapping filled with twelve, long-stemmed red roses and told me "Happy Anniversary!" I was so surprised and pleased I started to cry; pretty neat that he was ahead of the day and he'd done something so extra special.

So, Happy Anniversary back to you my dear Rog. Only eight more years and we will have been at it as long as my parents managed! Who'd of thought it?!

Love you, honey,

katey

How lovely! Happiest anniversary, dear Rog and Kat, one of my favoritest Mudsisters! I feel privileged that I got to meet you, however briefly! Hugs all around!

Yes, congratulations.

We have roses in our house too. I have a friend who plays music with our band every month. In December his wife suffered a subdural hermatoma and came very near to death. It was an exhausting, stressful time.

Recently he wrote me that he feels so tired, sad, and sick of winter - the aftermath of the crisis, of course. I made the only offer I could, "Would you like to come over and play music?" The offer was accepted instantly. Last Sunday he, his wife, and four others had dinner and played.

I bought pink baby roses for the table in honor of her survival and of the going of winter.

"Who'd of thought it?!"

Ahem. The correct form is "Who'd of THUNK it?"

[Just kidding! Just kidding!]

I am glad for your happiness.

Kat, do not believe Bobert when he claims to have sent the roses. He would have sent an azalea.

How wonderful Kat - I much prefer it when the thought really is there, rather than what sometimes seems to be the 'bought by rote' because it's the thing to do.
