Can anyone help this fellow figure out what this song is? "Allan (sp?) at Cheapo records suggested I network the NEFFA group (I am a some-time contra dancer anyway) for the name of song/singer/full lyrics/ or most dreamy of all, a recording of a song I cannot find, but remember from 35 years ago... It was folky, opened with a harmonica sounding like a passing train (think doppler effect), then a male singer and a different (?) male reading the lyrics in russian (?)... the lyrics I have are below. It starts: I was a child A Wild Child Green as grass and running through each day How time goes by How time does tell Do we hardly know each other Do we know each other well? ---- I was a Pete Seeger fan so I thought it was him, but can't find it under his lists... I also believe it only came out on a 45-sized vinyl. THANKS for ANY leads... I am seeking a full recording of it, but I will take any suggestions!" |

It opens with harmonica. http://www.uulyrics.com/music/buffalo-springfield/song-i-am-a-child/video-buffalo-springfield-i-am-a-child/ |
