Concertina sessions @ Fareham Festival

Once again the Spare Parts Concertina Band is running concertina part-playing sessions at the Gosport & Fareham Easter Festival, UK.. Bryan TheSnail Creer has put the music on the band website in Noteworthy Composer, pdf and midi form (various speeds). This is a chance to play three-part arrangements in session-friendly keys with other concertina players and enjoy the special sound concertinas make together. If you have trouble downloading the arrangements from the website I can post them to you or email them to you separately.

We're running three sessions, from 5.15 - 7.00 pm on Friday 3rd., Saturday 4th. and Sunday 5th. April in the Lysses House Hotel
High Street, Fareham PO16 7BQ. They are free to Festival season ticket holders: there may be a small charge for anyone else.

Hoping to see some of you there.

Valmai (Lewes)

Have a great weekend Valmai and Bryan - I hope the sessions go really well.

For those in the Lewes area on Easter Sunday evening, there's an impromptu session at the Plough in Plumpton - map here.

Doc Rossi, an American cittern player who lives in France, has come over to Sussex for the weekend to collect a new cittern built by Ditchling luthier Ian Chisholm. Here's Doc in action:

Doc Rossi : J C Bach Sonata for cittern and violin

So the session has been organised to give Doc something to do over Easter!
